Space Planning and CAD for Pod Projects
Gibbsonn’s Space Planning and CAD service helps you understand how pods and modular rooms will fit and function within your environment before installation begins.
Using accurate site information, we can explore suitable positions, compare layouts and show how the proposed solution relates to workstations, walkways and surrounding facilities. This helps you make better use of the available floor area while reducing the risk of spatial conflicts later.
Space planning is valuable whether you need one office phone booth, several meeting pods or a large bespoke modular workspace.
Plan the Complete Space, Not Just the Pod
A pod’s dimensions are only one part of the planning process. Door operation, access, circulation, ceiling clearance, ventilation, power, data and installation requirements must also be considered.
CAD layouts provide a clear visual reference for the project team and can help coordinate the pod with furniture, technology and existing building features. Where several pods are required, planning can also help create a balanced distribution across the workplace.
Drawing on Andy’s office fit-out experience, Gibbsonn considers how the proposed pod will affect the wider environment. If alterations or enabling work are required, these can be identified and coordinated before installation.
Discuss your project with our team to arrange space planning and determine what site information or survey work will be needed.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Space Planning and CAD FAQs
What information is needed to create a CAD layout?
We will usually need accurate measurements or suitable existing plans, along with details of doors, windows, services, furniture and other relevant features. A site survey may be recommended.
Can you compare different pod positions and sizes?
Yes. Space planning can be used to assess alternative positions, pod sizes and layouts before a final product is selected.
Does CAD planning include power and data requirements?
Power and data locations can be shown where relevant. Detailed requirements can then be developed through our Power and Data Coordination service.
